TRIBE is pioneering an entrepreneurial model for African high school students to foster innovation and creativity.​

The Program

RE-Novate is a annual entrepreneurial academy for high school students. The goal of the project is two-fold: to create learning tools that inspire students to learn entrepreneurial skills, cultivate their entrepreneurial mindset, and build a model that facilitates school administrators to develop and execute entrepreneurship programs to prepare students for the workforce.

Program activities

We immerse students in learning experiences that enhance their cognitive abilities, socio-emotional skills, cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, and develop strong leadership qualities.

Facilitation

Fellows participate in bi-weekly entrepreneurial leadership workshops at their school.

Fellows discuss a wide range of issues with peers, influential leaders, entrepreneurs and policy markers on a monthly basis.

Experiential learning

Fellows participate in field trips, excursions, symposiums and mentorship sessions. 

Internship

Fellows acquire first-hand workforce experience from leading corporate institutions in Liberia. 

Recruitment process

The recruitment process for RE-Novate is designed to assess each potential participant’s cognitive abilities, socio-emotional skills, and character development. Interested students from partner schools will undergo a four-stage application process, which includes:

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must:

  1. Be currently enrolled in a TRIBE partner high school.
  2. Be in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade at the time of application.
  3. Demonstrate strong leadership qualities in both their school and community.
  4. Have acceptable reading comprehension and writing skills.
  5. Exhibit commendable character within their school and community.
  6. Be flexible with time and mobility, and fully dedicated to the challenges they will face throughout the program
